Batesville is looking for a Groundskeeper to join our team in Manchester, TN.
As Groundskeeper responsibilities include General Maintenance Worker performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of facility grounds and landscapes which includes the operation of electrically-powered and gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines, and the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping.
There are no supervisory duties for this role.
Travel is not required for this role.

What you'll do:
The Groundskeeper-General Maintenance Worker performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of facility grounds and landscapes which includes the operation of electrically-powered and gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines, and the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping.
Performs maintenance on groundskeeping equipment and tools and makes minor repairs (within demonstrated capability) as directed.
Changes light bulbs, paints walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment, makes minor carpentry, plumbing repairs, delivers supplies, materials, and equipment as needed, retrieves and documents transfer of accountability of surplus property, provides custodial services, etc.
Safety practices and procedures are followed at all times Opportunities are identified for reduction of cycle times and suggestions are evaluated Other duties may be assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Travel is not required.
Basic Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; At least one year of experience in groundskeeping is required, where knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in planting, cultivating, and trimming a variety of types of trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers and grasses has been gained.
Great to Haves:
Knowledge of the use and proper disposal of chemicals used in groundskeeping is preferred.
