Responsibilities:
Prepares lesson plans and teaching strategies for course(s) of study taughtAligns both course(s) curriculum taught and/or assessments with state and localcurriculum standardsUses a variety of teaching strategies to facilitate student learningPlans a program of study that addresses the individual needs and abilities of thestudentsDevelops and maintains a school/classroom environment conducive to learning andsocially appropriate for the age of students taughtAnalyzes and uses appropriate data to guide instruction and develop assessments Establishes and communicates clear expectations for all lessons, class work, andprojects.
Assigns lessons routinely and corrects student work in a timely fashionMaintains good order in classroom and other areas of the schoolSupervises students at school related functions including on and off campus activitiesConsults with other professionals to address learning or behavioral problems withspecific studentsCommunicates with parents/guardian regularly through verbal and written formAssesses the progress of students on a regular basis, both formative and summative,and provides progress reports as requiredSchedules parent conferences as directed by the system and as needed in particularcases; if necessary, these conferences may be outside the school day as dictated bystudent/parent/guardian needsKeeps accurate attendance, academic performance, and IEP records for assignedstudentsReports to the appropriate administrative and/or consultative personnel whenknowledgeable or suspicious that a child's health or welfare has been or appearsto be at risk Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment,materials, and facilitiesParticipates in school level faculty meetings, system professional development andin-service meetings, staff committee meetings, and other workshops for teachertrainingPlans, supervises, and provides guidance for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s)Maintains accurate financial records Provides detailed plans for substitute teachers including lessons, schedules and rulesregarding classroom organization, procedures and individual student needsConducts IEP meetings as set forth by Federal and State Laws within given timelines.
Participates in Child Find activities and Referral Process for Special EducationParticipates and assists with compliance monitoringReport compliance issues promptly to Principal/Special Education DirectorServes as a resource for general education teachers in helping them understandstudents with disabilities and how to meet students' special needs within thetypical classroomStays alert to best practices in the area of Special Education and stays abreastof legal updatesGeneral Requirements:
Follows Federal and State Laws and adopted policies and procedures in accordance with School Board prioritiesConducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest standards of public education and in support of the District's Vision/Mission StatementsMaintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of confidential student and staff information Other responsibilities and/or duties may be required and assignedBOE Revisions Approved 2/8/10About the Company:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
