Medical Technologist
Certified Medical Technologist ASCP or equivalent with a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Lab Science
Generalist laboratory background with 5 years experience as a technologist and at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
Individual will also be responsible for the oversight of lab personnel about 35 FTE.
Demonstrated leadership and a history of excellent attendance
Strong technical knowledge in relevant laboratory areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis as well as laboratory instrumentation and front end automation. Good knowledge of quality control procedures/ regulations and laboratory safety procedures for biohazards and chemicals
Ability to organize, communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, teach and work with others in an effective manner. Excellent interpersonal and team skills, and exceptional customer service skills. Clinical laboratory information system experience (Sunquest LIS experience preferred).
Under the general direction of the department manager, this full-time position has primary responsibility and accountability for planning and supervising the daily operation in the clinical laboratory for hospital based and outreach patients to insure that service expectations are met. This is a fast-paced position requiring exceptional organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Supervisory experience required. Primarily first shift (8-4:
30PM) but expected to be flexible; includes holiday rotation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
